The agreement was signed by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Fayziddin Qahhorzoda and the Vice President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Konstantin Limitovsky.

It should be noted that the total financing provided by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank for the construction of Rogun HPP amounts to $500,000,000 and will be allocated in two phases through separate agreements.

The goal of the project is to strengthen the energy independence of Tajikistan and contribute to sustainable economic development.

The funds will be directed towards the co-financing of Lot 1 and Lot 3A of Rogun HPP, as well as the construction and reconstruction of 55 km of roads, including bridges between villages.
